Does it cost anything to sign up?
No, sign up is 100% free and only takes a few minutes.

Main Page
- This is the first page that you see when you log into your account. You have access to all areas of the
Seeker's Section.

Confidential and Suspend Your Resume
Job Seekers can post their resume confidentially and may reveal contact info when requested by providers.
Seekers when unavailable can suspend their  resume and can reactive when they want to. Once you have your account it's there for life!

Logout - When you want to log out of the system, choose this from the either the Main Page or menu-bar: Account->Logout.

Profile - Edit / View your Resume.

Edit your Resume:
-Get Employers contact you!
- Announce your availability to the 100's of Employers that visit this site.

View your resume:
-Preview your resume "live" as it is seen by Employers.

Job Search:
- Search all job openings.
- You can save jobs to view later or keep track of under My Saved Jobs
-You can keep track of which jobs you have applied to under My Applications
Apply online to jobs right away with one click

Email Alerts:
Get alerts of new jobs and contact from Employers straight to your Inbox
(the email account you signed up with)

- Manage your account:
Change your password from inside your account or use the "forgot passwork" link on sign in page to your information sent to your Inbox

Resume Tips

Everyday job seekers post their resumes on Linecooks.com™. Their information and files uploaded are stored in our database. You can can too!

1.) Use Bulleted Sentences
In the body of your resume, use bullets with short sentences rather than lengthy paragraphs. Resumes are read quickly. Make the Big points stand out.

2.) Use Action Words
Use action words - words like prepared, managed, developed, championed, monitored, and presented will cause your resume to stand out. 

3.) Use symbols,%'s, $'s and #'s
You should always use %'s, $'s and #'s. Dollar totals, numbers, and percentages stand out in the body of a resume and better communicate your information.

        Example:
        Bad: Line cook, works well with other, can work most stations. Pay starting 10 dollars an hour
        Good: Line cook for 8 years. Great team player can work 5 top position in commercial kitchen (List, the, postions,) $10.00 min to accept


4.) Highlight your strengths
Highlight your strengths, and what is most relevant to the potential employer. In-coming resumes are typically reviewed in 10-30 seconds.

5.) Match the need they have
Match the need they have. If you have a large skill set, don't be afraid to apply for a position that uses only a portion of those skills. Let them know once you've been contacted that your skills are strong in other areas and you would like to challenge and impove all your skills. This helps get your foot in the door and let's managment know your future needs.

6.) Be positive
Above all in your resume and interview - you must be positive. Therefore, leave off negatives and irrelevant points.

7.) Get 3rd Party Advice
Ask a friend, and get an outside opinion on your resume before sending it off.

8.) Start Applying
OK, you're ready! Start applying - Apply for some jobs that appear to be above your qualifications, apply to positions that are a match.
